WHO WE ARE
MINDS MATTER MISSION STATEMENT:
Minds Matter connects driven and determined students from low-income families with the people, preparation, and possibilities to succeed in college, create their future, and change the world.

High school students enroll in the Minds Matter program as sophomores and spend three years completing rigorous academic coursework, receiving mentoring from two college-graduate professionals, attending college summer programs at leading universities and receiving expert guidance on the college admissions process.
In order to complete the program, students must attend Minds Matter’s sessions every Saturday during the school year. Each session lasts five hours. Given the program’s intensity, Minds Matter only admits students who are high-achievers and have a strong determination to attend college.
Since its founding in New York City in 1991, Minds Matter has worked with thousands of students across the country and 100% of them gained admission to a four-year university.
Minds Matter has been serving students throughout the Portland, Oregon area since 2006.
